"World Community Grid"

Just curious, who besides me is actively crunching for team PCQandA on WCG? Also, if you used to do it and quit, can you tell me why?

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

Hi Ttech
I don't crunch here anymore but I still crunch in a big way. I also have a different BOINC ID and team. Actually have crunched for many teams over the years.
WCG is near the top of my favorites but felt the need to branch out as I learned more and more about putting computers together and finding projects that utilize the GPU. It's been a long time since WCG has had such a project.
So in short I crunch most of the bio-medical, physical science and math projects under the BOINC umbrella in addition to Folding@Home.
I believe everyone should have a hobby and crunching is one of mine.

WCG project OpenPandemics now has tasks for AMD, Nvidia and Intel GPU processors. I am currently running these on an Nvidia GTX 1080, for PC Q&A. Planning on running for 24 hours or so total to check credit and been up for 12ish so far. This is live not beta.

If you want to try this, make the appropriate changes in your settings.

Been years since I posted here. I do check in a couple of times a year though.
I crunched for this team back in the day (might even been PC911), but when the big blow up happened here I switched over to Bitbenders along with some others. Bitbenders fell apart so I joined Christians for a couple of years and then found a home a SNURK and friends since Sept 2018. Go to the WCG forms > community > teams and SNURK is usually on the first page.
