How very sad, I just saw her post in the basement the other day and I thought to myself that she must be doing better because she was posting, This is quite a shock, so I am sure it is quite a shock to her family too. My condolences to her family. I didn't know her well, but what little I did know her, I found her to be witty and funloving, and very down to earth and kind. She will be missed!!!

I am saddened beyond words at this news. The second friend lost in barely more than a week's time. I always looked forward to Whipat's posts. She was a real sweet person, and was another very kind soul who called me to lift my spirits when I was in the hospital two years ago.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Stephanie. Pat will be missed very much.

pat was such a down to earth, "no nonsense" sort of woman, taking things as they were, and not letting things that really didn't matter in the big scheme of life, get to her. the news from Stephanie this morning left me stunned. the knowledge that she passed painlessly was mercy shown,, and for that i am truly grateful,, my heartfelt prayers and sympathies are with you and your family, stephanie.

Patricia "Pat" Brown Wilson passed away far too soon for us all at her Cambria home Tuesday, April 5, 2005.

A memorial bar-be-cue will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at American Legion Post 432 of Cambria.

Pat was born June 18, 1940, in Olney, Ill., but found her home in Cambria with her first husband, Gary Brown, and young family. Her uncommon honesty and unmatched wit made her the diamond in the rough at Camozzi's of Cambria, where she tended bar far more years than she had planned. She was a matriarch and "mom" to locals and visitors alike, serving drinks and priceless advice. She married her longtime love, Whip, in 1999 and lived happily with him and her beloved cat, Toke. The love Pattie showed everyone was reciprocated and cherished by all.

Pat is survived by her husband, Whip Wilson; son, Gary "Butch" Brown, and his wife, Laurie; daughters, Angela Brown and Stephanie Thomas, and her husband, Kelly; grandchildren, Amber, Jenica, Kellianne, Ryan, Brandon, Alexa, Emily, Chelsea and Delaney; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pat will surely be missed by many of us. I think she was a friend to most everyone.

I'm sorry for not Posting my Condolences sooner, but when I was a lot younger, I had a bad experience with the Death of a very close Friend. Since then I've shied away from reading "Obituaries".

Maybe this would be a good time to get over it.

I'm a little late here but out of respect I feel I should add to this thread.

I liked Pat a lot, she was my friend, plain and simple.

For around four years we made each other laugh.

She left this World on my Birthday, this will be a day I'll never forget.

Strange thing, this online stuff, I'm more sad at Pat's death than I sometimes am of people I knew 'in real life'

Over at BBF I still think when looking at a thread 'wonder what Pat will say about this?' and then the reality kicks in. It's painful.
