"France shows off tallest bridge" Sat Jan-08-05 04:29 AM by _Chewy_
I realize this maybe 'old' news to some. The article is dated mid-dec. but I don't remember any topics on this back in December on the boards. Thought you might enjoy seeing the photos, the bridge is quite fantastic.

Nice ... it's funny how bridges can be so compelling, everyone probably has a favorite. Golden Gate here, since I lived there for several years (and they only charge one way.)

LOL. I live in PA near the NJ border. To cross the Delaware, it used to cost .50 cents. Then they made the toll one way, but doubled it to $1.00, telling people it was free one way. LOL, go figure.
I wonder who the first person will be to commit suicide off of the tallest bridge in the world. I would be quite an honor, I guess.

My 92 year old mother has been seriously ill in hospital since November. Very bad over Christmas but is now slowly improving although it'll be a long haul. I haven't had much interest in computers or the internet during that time but hopefully I'm back now.

>I hope that you noticed that although this fantastic >beautiful bridge was French built, it was British designed.
Imagine that. The proud French using something that the British designed. Next thing ya know they'll be having tea & crumpets everyday. Vive la l'england!
