#5. "RE: Trump attack on Clinton debunked" In response to Shelly (Reply # 0)

Update, June 24: Trump said in the June 23 interview with NBC that he read or heard that Clinton’s email was successfully hacked. Asked where he got that information, Trump said, “I will report back to you. I’ll give it to you.” When asked how he could make his claim “with such certainty” without evidence, Trump said, “I don’t know if certainty. Probably she was hacked.”
This right here, combined with Trump saying he doesn't rely on facts and instead relies on "what he knows and common sense" is perhaps what scares me the most about him - combined with the ego that demands that he never admits to mistakes. He asserts that she was hacked based entirely on "his common sense" - not based on evidence. When asked for evidence he insists that it's likely true simply because he thinks it's true.
Imagine President Trump sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office when a crisis erupts. Trump won't calmly consider the facts at his disposal and ask his advisers who know the situation before making a decision. He'll rely on "his common sense" to make a decision. If that turns out to be wrong, he'll double-down, insist he's right and press on.
If this is a business of his or his reality TV show, the damage is limited. If this is the United States he's dealing with, major economic and political consequences could arise not to mention people's lives could be lost.
