Hi everyone - i wanted to let you know that my dad, Lou Heitzler: aka Pawlou or lil joe, passed away on May 15, 2013 after a short illness. He was hospitalized for pneumonia and never made it back home. He was living with me, Becky Garling, in Springfield, Missouri at the time of his death. Thank you all for providing many years of friendship, and community to my dad. God Bless, Becky
I am so sorry to hear that. Your father was (and remains in memory) a good man whom we will miss. You, your family and Lou's other relatives have my sincere sympathy.
So very sorry to hear of Lou's passing. I have thought of him as a friend even though I had never met him. He provided, over the years, some sound and sage advice via this forum. RIP Lou.
Thankyou for taking the time and trouble to let us know.
Lou was a true friend who helped me enormously in my early computing days, to the extent of burning and mailing me CDs when I was setting up my system and dialup was too slow.
I will miss him - a lot. My deep and sincere sympathy to you all.
That is devastating news! Lou has been a valued member of this forum community from our earliest days. We will sorely miss him, and I can assure you that he will be added to our Memoriam pages.
Thank you for letting us know. So many have simply disappeared from our ranks suddenly without any notification.

I am so very sad to hear this. Got to know Lou way back while "crunching" for a cancer cure", we all had lots of fun during some friendly competition.
Lou sent us cds and even talked me through a fix for a computer problem one time. Between him and my hubby, we got it fixed. We have traded emails for years. We will sure miss him. Thanks for letting everyone know Becky.
Please give our sincere condolences to all of his family.

Lou's commentary is one of the major reasons I started participating in this forum 9 years ago. He was friendly, helpful, caring, and seemed to love to joke around with the other regulars. His banter helped make this forum so much more human instead of just words on a screen. His personality came through strong in his posts. He always seemed like such a good guy. I'll miss him. He will be remembered here. My condolences to you and your family.
We will miss him. I'm sure that I will be looking for his comments for a long time. He will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Your father was, I am sure, a wonderful man outside of his computer hobby. He was certainly a great help to all users of this forum. His words of wisdom can still be read here.
So Sorry to hear this. Lou was a generous and funny and warm soul. Thanks for all the good you did. I remember his talk of his wife and the cats. RIP, Lou, you deserve it.
