I got a pretty cool Paint program today. A digital paint program and started to work with it for the first time. And I made a art work that I kind of like so far. I like the colors... and I like how this paint program like really mimicks applied paint really well! like your simulated strokes come out looking like a real stroke of a brush with paint on it and you can even see the brush hairs and so forth. I think its pretty dam cool this paint program and I am going to have fun learning about it. This is the first thing I did. But it was fun. The program has some really neat things that I want to explore when I have time. You can have simulated textured background like to simulate if you were drawing or painting on textured paper or to simulate if you were paiting with different mediums like chalk, ink, colored pencil, Oil stick and so forth. I think its pretty neat because I have always had a love for art But art supplies can be expensive. Oil paints and brushes and really think paper.. not to mention having to deal with the mess of cleanup and also having your home smell like turpentine. So well I like this Idea of digital art. and the way I look at it it makes sense Aesthetically also. I mean so much of our lives these days are aided buy computers... that it would only make sense to use them in the creation of something that is expressive. anyway check it out. My taste is art is different that most people I like abstract images because using recognizeable objects is just to boring for me. Been done to many times. I like to try and like create my own world of line and color and shapes etc to try and make something that tells how I feel in a differnt way. Well I am just getting familiar with the program but I can see already that the thing is pretty cool and I am wondering how far I can push the use of it. How many difeerrnt types of works I can come up with. anyway take a look

QUOTE: It's far better than I could ever do. Is the guy in the painting a self-portrait?
Jim.
Yeah I did a self portrait. but I did the portrait to reflect what is going on > on the inside of me. Thats why its so messed up looking. ha ha
Yeah I love the new paint program I Love how the marks look like real brush strokes. I like how they simulated that. and there all other cool things to explore also.
