"Drones over America"

Drones over America: Are they spying on you?
Thousands of them could be flying in US skies within the next 10 years

Most Americans have gotten used to regular news reports about military and CIA drones attacking terrorist suspects – including US citizens – in Pakistan, Yemen, and elsewhere abroad.
But picture thousands of drone aircraft buzzing around the United States – peering from the sky at breaches in border security, wildfires about to become major conflagrations, patches of marijuana grown illegally deep within national forests, or environmental scofflaws polluting the land, air, and water.

This is becoming more and more a "Police State" If you want to be free
you also better be perfect.

Yeah I dont know what the drones are really up to.
Are they spying on the general public or are they targeting
specific people that are on watch lists... or people that have been
labeled potential threats?

are they looking for illegal stuff like weapons or drugs
and stuff like that?

Well I do think that we do need to watch what is going on
in our country and stop certain activities before they get out of hand

me I got nothing to hide from these drones.
The only thing they are going to see is what?? Me reading books, surfing the internet, making frozen diners for myself, doing household chores like laundry and cleaning, occasionally getting laid, occasionally drinking a beer or 2 and that's about it.

I mean WTF do they want to record my lame ass life for?
I mean sometimes they highlight of my week is touching myself
in the shower > doesn't really make for something cool to spy on
now does it? ha ha

Your a HOWL !!!

What worries me is how many times when they make strikes in Pakistan or Afghanistan they hit regular everyday civilians. I imagine the same thing would happen here. Innocent people getting caught in the cross fire.

ha ha
Yeah I thought that part of me touching myself in the shower
would get a laugh out of somebody. ha ha

I love the comedian Lewis Black
the other day I was watching a skit he did about how the government screws us over. he was going on about that.. high taxes and so forth and how painful it is to fill out tax forms etc > so he finally says.

You know what you should do is just go home fill up the bathtub with hot temp water and make a bubble bath. Then get in there and then start to touch yourself in all those naughty little places and then Finally for a change it will be somebody other than the government that is doing it to you.

ha ha > I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair.

Here is some more info for you . Stasi had files on almost every citizen of east Germany and estimated 2 million informants .
In eastern block, if you didn't have an informant in your family, you certainly found one among your friends , at work , and the building where you lived. Stasi broke souls of millions !

That is a good reply.
Yeah the day that we have drones from an enemy country flying over us... that is when we really need to be concerned
and thats also the day when I will invest in a heat seeking portable rocket launcher.

Many years ago we didn't have much to fear in this country. We were so isolated that other countries didn't have the means to even contemplate an attack on our shores. Immigration was pretty controlled and our borders were relatively secure. Gangs and drug running was pretty rare or at least not a big problem and I don't know if the word terrorism had even been coined yet.

Things are a lot different today. We have to deal with the threat of terrorism and the capability of terrorists to smuggle weapons of mass destruction across our borders and shores. Immigration is out of control and people intent on causing death and destruction in our cities can easily gain entry to the country. Gang activity is rampant and a they are large and well armed. Chemical and biological weapons are far more sophisticated and it's probably only a matter of time before someone tries to poison a water supply or loose a killer virus. The North Koreans and others are rapidly developing missile systems that will be capable of delivering all manner of destruction on us. We were very lucky to have survived Pearl Harbor and the resulting war. Given today's technology we might not be so lucky the next time and letting our guard down could be disastrous.

I don't think the government is going to be interested in the Plain Joe's, Les's or Jane's of the country because there's not much to be gained over the information they already have on us. If the drones will help keep us safe I say let em fly.

Les

I agree Les. There is so much that we need to be protected from.
and not only is there more that we need protection from but with our current economic downtime we have less money to spend... and using drones to keep an eye on things can keep the cost down.
So I say let em fly. Using these drone robots to keep an eye on our borders and to keep an eye on potential terrorism and so forth is a good thing. Lets just hope that nothing bad happens with these things. that these drones dont go haywire and hurt innocent people and lets hope that they develop a knack for sniffing out the bad guys instead of bothering the law biding citizens

"If the drones will help keep us safe I say let em fly."

Yes to be safe but at what cost? We really don't know what they plan on
doing with them yet. If its anything like what they are doing with them
in Pakistan and Afghanistan I can't see how that could be a good thing for us.

That is the same thing like if we had fighter jets flying around all our cities and high population areas. I would feel much safer if that really where the case. How many inocent people will need to be killed to get the One or two bad guys. That does not sound very safe to me.

If we lived in a perfect world where all the drones always hit their target individuals. It would be great. That is not the case. In order to get their "Bad" guys dozens of civilians are taken down along with them.

I refuse to buy into anything like that and it should be stopped before they get more serious about it. That just does not sit right with me.
We have so many Cops up our asses the way it is already. Now that want to but robots in our air space to kill Who and for What?
I need more info about that plan but I will still not like the Idea of doing anything like that.

Actually I don't agree with it being used "ANYWHERE" It sounds too much to me like something Hitler would have done if he had the technology. It's slimy warfare and to do it in your own homeland is just plain wrong.

It's smart warfare, actually. The end game in war is to kill the enemy while exposing yourself to as little risk as possible. What better way to do this than with robots and remote control?

Of course, it's always much more fun to do this in a back yard other than your own.

Really? In 1942 teams of saboteurs landed in the US from German submarines. One team laded right here in Jacksonville at Ponte Vedra Beach with the money tools, and order to create havoc.

The full story is here:

http://www.historynet.com/world-war-ii-german-saboteurs-invade-america-in-1942.htm

The reason the Nazi plans failed is that two of the saboteurs decided to contact the FBI instead.
