"We lost our land, and we were forced to flee and we've lived in refugee camps for the past 50 years."
Perhaps that is because not a single Arab country other than Jordan would accept them, preferring to pen them in those refugee camps and keep fomenting unrest against Israel.
Oh, and those accepted into Jordan tried to overthrow the monarchy and were expelled.
One good thing about living a long time is that some history is not just a subject (poorly) taught in school.
I tend to resent some ignorant fool talking about my memory acuity without presenting evidence to substantiate their claim.
I generally do not reply to your posts since I consider you an itinerant asshole, so please point out my error in the above post, or prove I am correct about you, so the adults here can continue our discussion without inane interruptions.
Sorry *******, your use of the word shows your stupidness and lack of ability to use the English language and as for your memory, I am at least 10 years older than you and I resent your childish attributes. Take off your diaper and stop showing your obvious leftish leanings!!! So there
Shelly, I apologize for my vetting against you. I guess I just had to get it out and now ask that in one of my weaker moments let my self go. I am sorry.

Exactly. I would only add that the reason that they "lost" their land was because, when Israel was formed, the Arab countries surrounding it told the Arabs living in Israel to vacate. They were told that, when Israel's Jews were all killed, the Arabs would be able to go right back to their homes. Most of the Arabs left, but some remained. The Arabs who left wound up in exile or detention camps when Israel won the war. The Arabs who stayed live peacefully in Israel to this day. So the claims of "we lost our land" really mean "we lost our land betting on the wrong side of a failed invasion." If anyone left America thinking that a foreign country's invasion of America would succeed, would we just welcome them back and hand their land back to them?
It seems that whenever a good attempt is made there is someone to throw gas on the embers

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. "Why shouldn't the American people take half my money from me? I took it all from them." - Edward Filene

As individuals we focus on what is important first to our survival and then to our happiness. Bernie "Madeoff" and the Dali Lama may differ on the particulars, but do limited damage in the implementation.
When we group think in outrage at the other, as do religious Jews or Christians or Islamists or Fascists or Communists or Boy Scouts, and have the mindset of a Dick Cheney or Winston Churchill, as did Attila the Hun and Napoleon, we do and always will do enormous damage on one another.
That said, music will be heard and painting be seen and words will be read -- all this despite the wannabe controllers.
But we have to get this goddamn territorial-imperative thing under control before it undoes us.
