6mm is 6 millimeters -- it's about equal to 1/4 of an inch.

25mm is 25 millimeters equivalent to about one inch.

These guys are right on the dimensions, but be careful, not realy interchangable if you need to thread it into something that already has threads.

Think 6 mm diameter by 25 mm length. These are metric bolts and not standard US measurement bolts.

There are three numbers needed to tell the size of the bolt. Diameter, Pitch, and Length. Such as M6-1.0 X 25

I hate approximations!

A 6x25mm bolt is not a 1/4 x 1.0 inch bolt. 6mm = 0.2362204724 inch, not 0.25 inch. 25mm = 0.9842519685 inch, not 1.0 inch

An inch = 25.4mm, and 1/4 inch = 6.350mm
