Perhaps it's unintentional but the subject of your post "Stem cell research proven to be fraudulent." is deceptive and misleading. One individual's research into stem cells has been declared fraudulent.
"Stem cell research" itself has not been "proven to be fraudulent" Far from it. Research continues unabated worldwide done by reputable scientists. Perhaps there are politicians and religious factions who would prefer all "Stem cell research" to be fraudulent, but that is not the case here.
What has "proven" to be fraudulent is one researcher's published findings. Nothing more.

Yes it was unintentional on my part but from the articles I have read thus far on this scandal - this seems to be a major setback to the entire progress within that field. So yes I could have made the subject line more specific saying this one particular professor's work was fraudulent - but I'm not an expert on this subject so I'll let you guys make your own conclusions about the validity of the field in general.

It will have zero affect on the field. What would have been damaging is if these claims had gone unchallenged leading other researchers down false paths. Fortunately, science is self correcting since every published paper is immediately subject to peer review.
Why a man with the respect of his colleagues, a promising career, and the certain knowledge that his fraud would be quickly discovered, did such a thing is the real mystery here. This has happened from time to time throughout the history of science, and the result for the perpetrator is always the same.
