"HP All In One"

I'm using Win 10, up to date. My HP M1212mfp b/w laser has developed a tiny glitch. When copying and saving as pdf, after the 1st page it asks if I want to add additional pages. As always, I put in a different sheet and click yes, It scans and creates the image, and as always asks if I'm satisfied with the image. The operative box is 'Accept'. But now clicking on 'accept' has zero effect. Does not respond. So I'm reduced to creating a new document for each sheet I scan. This began a few weeks ago and I cannot put a date, time, event, or update date to it. I've done all the usual, of reboots, power down power up, removing the device and adding it again, and loading the latest (for a 5 year old machine) drivers from the HP website. No improvement. Where to begin???

If you test in a different User account on the machine, does it behave differently?

Does starting your computer into Safe Mode change anything?

Is the printer networked (or accessible from a different computer)?
If so, does the other computer act the same way?

> So I'm reduced to creating a new document for each sheet I scan

So you're saying that at the 1st. "it asks if I want to add additional pages" prompt, you reply, No?

It appears you are loading single pages at a time?
So you're scanning from the glass, rather then through the feeder?
