"Wake on touch"

I'm running Win 10 pro with very latest updates. For a couple years now I've not been able to make the system wake with the touch of keyboard or mouse. Both are usb devices, not the old (ps2?) plugins. Any idea where to start? I've tried all the by-the-book and obvious stuff. (been at the pc build game for 20 years now). TIA

In Device Manager > Keyboard Device > Properties have you ticked "Allow this device to wake the computer"?

What Pcqandaman said but also you may want to check the setting for your mouse also.

Normally, in my experience, this setting is marked by default in both devices, so I’ll be surprised if they aren’t marked in yours. If they are marked, then I don’t have any other ideas at the moment.

I have the opposite problem. I have to disable both devices as my cats will walk/play on my desk and will accidently(?) wake up my computer.

Jim.

Sadly since Sofia cat passed last year we don't have the 'keyboard kat' problem. Wish we did....

See https://www.guidingtech.com/fix-windows-10-wont-wake-up-sleep-mode/?nowprocket=1 Item number 5 sounds like the culprit but there are other things to check out on the list.
