"Core Temp"

Just installed Core Temp. I've used it before, and I like it. I need help with one of it's options. I've got it opening with W10, and displaying the highest of the core temps in the notification area. The issue I'm having, is the program icon keeps showing in the task bar, and persists in staying there. I'm NOT talking about the notification area, where the temp shows. When this happens, I can go into the program's file options, and toggle on/off to get it off the task bar, but it happens again at next start. What am I missing?
