"Teamviewer alternative"

I have been using Teamviewer to help out friends and family for a long time now and been very happy with it.
Sometimes there's a glitch on the other person's PC so I would like an alternative, as a backup.
There are plenty around but to save me time installing and testing others I wondered if anyone here can recommend another one.
I only use it to take over the other person's PC, i.e. just the basic stuff, nothing else.
Thanks.

If both computers are running Windows 10 you can use the built-in Quick Assist app.

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

Thanks Ttech. I thought Quick Assist was only available in Windows 10 Professional. I've now tried it and it looks very useful as a backup to Teamviewer.

Ah, it's Remote Desktop that's only in the Pro version.
