"Best Browser"

What browser and version # are you using? I used Firefox for many years and then turned to Slimjet. I am sick of Slimjet but not sure I would like Firefox Quantum. Does anyone use FF Quantum? If so, what version? Is it compatible with most features available for Firefox?

Will appreciate any suggestions about Browsers.

Thank you.

Pale Moon 28.7.1 is my default . Also use Waterfox 56.2.12 portable .
Used Firefox for a long time but not any longer. Too many updates made it very annoying .

"Best" is in they eye of the beholder.

For XP, SeaMonkey, 2.49.5 x86.
(Probably the last thing out there supporting XP.

For Win7, SeaMonkey 2.53 x64.

---

When I need to actually "do stuff", get something accomplished - in a meaningful manner (as in while using my extensions) I use SeaMonkey.

---

When I'm farting around, visiting crap sites, when I don't care what happens, I'll use FF Quantum.

(Extensions on Quantum, webextensions, are a far cry from what "legacy" extensions were.)

Really not a whole lot differentiating anything "current" that is out there. So if you use Edge (Chrome Edge) that is, or Chrome or Firefox Quantum, you're not likely to notice any meaningful difference between them.

If you're into it, Firefox Quantum is still more configurable compared to Chrome. Likewise, again if they're meaningful to you, you'll find features in Quantum lacking in the others. (Even something as "simple" as Quitting & saving your session, & having that restore on browser startup.)

Thanks to all for information. Finally decided to upgrade my Firefox to 62.03 which is supposed to be the last version which is not automatically updated. We will see.

I was worried about being able to get rid of junk files with other than Firefox.

Jane, what do you use to get rid of junk with Pale Moon? I used that at one time and liked it.

Thanks again.

I use uBlock Origin .

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock

uBlock Origin is compatible with SeaMonkey, Pale Moon, and possibly other browsers based on Firefox: for installation, see Install / Firefox legacy.

Thanks Jane, I failed to make my request clear. What I want is software to clear the internet cache and cookies, something like cCleaner that will work on Pale Moon.

What do you use?

Thanks.

I thank you Jane, what a great supply of information.

It has been several years since I used Pale Moon and remember almost nothing about it except I liked it. Think I will give it another try.

Thanks again

Has anyone tried the Brave browser? Been seeing ads about it, which perhaps will answer my question...
