Hello, I have firefox 53, and kept it because I liked my addons. Yesterday I downloaded Firefox quantum esr 60.3. In the add and remove programs it shows both version. Do I have to do something special when I remove 53, so my passwords, bookmarks and settings don't disappear? Thank you for your reply.

If it was me, and I wanted to keep the ESR and uninstall the old one, I'd uninstall the ESR, reinstall over the top of the old one and be done with it.
If you have a profile for each, you could rename the 53 one (the profile - just add XXX or something to the extension) and see what the ESR does.
My experience is you can mess up firefox pretty easily, thus my advice to install over the top (which means uninstalling the ESR so you can do this.)
