"Cannot move video file into folder because of permissions"

I have an external hard drive that has a folder that I cannot move a file into because of permissions. I tried changing the permissions on the folder in its properties but they are grayed out. I tried the "take ownership" .reg file fix but it did not work although it is in the context menu listing. I have access the drive but not to this one folder. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't permissions suck.

Oh, maybe try to run Windows Explorer - elevated (As Administrator) & see if that alone is not enough to get it?

Otherwise, who knows, fart around with an extremely confusion "permissions" dialog that neither you nor I can make any sense out of, & hope that along the way you don't screw things up, more .
