"HP Printer Install Gone Bad"

I have an HP Envy 5535 printer. I had to install new hard drive so when it came time to install printer I had the driver software from HP. I have done this many times. Well it went to install as usual but it then hung for over 10 min which I know shouldn't do as again,I have done this machine many times. So I interrupted it and was going to start over. What a disaster. It wouldn't uninstall. I used geek installer so I had to do the force uninstall. It wouldn't let me reinstall. I removed it from devices and everything. I looked for a HP program that might remove all remnants. Do they have this? I would hate to wipe this again.

Have you tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor?

Another program to try is the tweaking.com Windows Repair tool.

There is an option to reset the print spooler.

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

Yeah I actually tried that very program. I just wiped machine again and it still took 15 min to install. This printer usually took like 30 seconds total before. I don't know what the problem is. The driver is from 2015..Win 10 has had major upgrades since then. Who knows. Thanks.
