"Windows 10 restart problems caused by Win 10 update"
After a recent windows update, my Dell Desktop computer hangs on boot when it gets to the screen with the blue window and there is usually a small circle of dots that move during the the restart process. The circle is not there and the computer is stuck at the blue window. If I re boot several times , it goes thru a repair process which gets me back to the normal boot up. I believe this is caused by a corrupt boot file during the update. I know there is a way to repair this by jumping thru several hoops and deleting all the files in the last windows update. I have been avoiding this by going into settings , windows update and windows update options and change the date for the next restart to the longest available choice which is about 7 days. Is there a way to change the registry where I can change the 7 days to NEVER? I have a lenovo laptop which has a dual boot option and I am now using windows 7 only on that computer. I am on the verge of removing windows 10 entirely and re-installing Windows 7 ( it is too late for a roll back). I am sick and tired of problems caused by Windows 10 updates. I know support for windows 7 will run out in a couple of years. GOOD, the less microsoft support the better. I am even considering getting a MAC computer , but they also have update problems.

I bought a new Dell on Jan 3, and YUP, after the jan 9 update, it slowed way down, browser hung, screen flashed! As it is 2 weeks old, I went right to dell support who went in and fixed it.
