"software updater"

Need recommendations for a software updater, preferably free. Was using File Hippo Update Manager, which no longer works. W10 Pro. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at Flexera Personal Software Inspector. I think this used to be distributed as Securina PSI.

I don't know if it will actually download and install updates for you, but it will tell you what updates are available.

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

Website says it does automatically update programs it finds. Personally I'd prefer one that doesn't. I'm also not all that keen on being obliged to give them my email adress as a pre-requisite for downloading.

Edit:- Ttech, that's Secunia. Now I remember it. I believe it focuses on security and won't find "new feature" updates that aren't security related.

Having said all that, it looks useful, but not a complete answer by any means.

Ther's another one called SUMo which also sounds useful.

Review (Avoid that download link, which goes to Softpedia):-

I don't know if it's what you want, but I've installed it and I like it.
