Thought I'd try free version of Smilebox to make printable greeting cards. W10 Pro, working fine. Avast free AV, Malwarebytes realtime. Installed Smilebox, but when I try to open, I get the following message: This app has been blocked by your system administrator. Contact your system administrator for more details.
In Smilebox properties>Compatibility, I checked run as administrator. This allowed it to start to open, at which point, Avast AV, flagged it as containing FileRepMalware preventing it from fully opening. Is this a false positive?
It may be a false positive but you will have to research that. I use Ashamoo burning software and have for years. ESET always flags the installers because they have software that sends you advertisement and upgrade notices. I know that is a false positive, I have never had problems as a result.
