Does anyone know of a (preferably free) utility to reset a Windows 10 boot logon password?
It would create a bootable USB or CD and once booted would reset the local (and/or Windows Account) password.
I found Renee's Passnow (not free) but don't know whether it's reliable or not.

Thanks lenjack. Yeah, I've been googling a lot and found several options, I just wondered if anyone here has used one which actually works. I'm helping a friend who's changed his Windows 10 logon to a local account and it won't now accept the password.
I'm still on Windows 7 so I'm not exactly au fait with Windows 10.

Should have known. Why did I ask? Always do a backup before making a significant change.
