It's that time of year. Time for the (Semi) Annual Fundraiser. As you may or may not know, a site such as PCQandA requires a lot of money to run. Hosting alone runs us approximately $370 per month. Overall, we need about $4,500 per year to operate. Advertising such as the Google ads bring in some money, but not nearly enough to keep the site afloat. We'll have another fundraiser in half a year's time to split the goal in half. So we're looking to raise $2,250.
If you'd rather send a check or a money order (in US Dollars -- sorry, but we can't accept International Money Orders at this time), make it out to Jason Levine and send it to:
Jason Levine PO Box 392 Slingerlands, NY 12159
Be sure to include your e-mail address in a note along with the check/money order so we can thank you. (PCQandA screen names would be nice also in case the e-mail doesn't go through for some reason.)
Curious just how close we are to our goal? Check out http://www.pcqanda.com/fundraiser.php for the most up-to-date figure. (Payments are added to the total manually, so don't expect the figure to update the minute you make a payment.)
Just a quick note: I see that Paypal donations started flowing in after my previous post. I haven't gotten a chance to record all of them, but wanted to make the fundraiser "official." I'll get all of the previous Paypal donations recorded (and the total updated) tonight.
Jason: Using the link you provided, I could not get PayPal to accept an amount so I went directly to my PayPal account and sent $20.00 to your email address which was provided by Paypal. I hope it worked. Ashton
After our first week, we're basically at 50% of our goal. (We're at 49.1% with one payment pending. When that one clears, we'll hit 50%.) Of course, the first half is always the easiest. It's the second half that always slows down prompting "gentle" reminders. If you've donated already, thanks! If you haven't, why not send a small (or large if you can afford it) donation our way?
Where I live, computer geeks/ITs, etc charge $150 per hour for their advice/help. Here, one gets it for free. Wish our small contribution (coming by Snail Mail) were more.
I had made a donation through Pay Pal a couple of weeks ago but didn't have time to post that I had done it. Daylilydayzed Daylilies are the Lord's smiles, new one every day.
The only way that I can donate is to transfer funds to PayPal first. I did that today and, according to PayPal, they should clear my Bank in 6-8 business days .
Jason, I sent $20 as soon as you posted the original message about the fund raiser being imminent. Just want to make sure you got it. It was by PayPal.
