"I need help removing a program."

Im trying to free up some space on my whopping 40gig HD and need to remove a program I never use. The program is Microsoft Plus for xp. But when I try to remove it through the add/remove programs I get a popup saying I need the Microsoft Plus disk or other removable disk that is not available.

I installed this a number of years ago and have since moved. Pretty sure we either threw the Microsoft Plus disk away or sold it in a garage sale.

Is there any way I can remove this software without the disk?

Thanks

What I do in these circumstances is to delete the files in the installation folder, there may be possibily other files in folders scattered through your Windows, e.g., ******* (your folder, e.g. Ian), Documents and Settings.

then you require to use a good Registry Cleaner, Reg Supereme Pro is up with the best (in my opinion it is the best) and its a good price, re-start Windows, use the Registry Cleaner, but not in agressive mode.

Warning, do not change any of the settings in RegSupreme Pro, you could cause yourself problems as the registry is not to played with.

Would Crap Cleaner work? Or is that different? Im looking for free stuff since I wouldn't be using it all that much.
