Further to Janes comments have a look at

http://chiawaikian.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=firewalls&action=display&thread=1135597431

My initial thought was having paid for ZA Pro what was in the Security Suite that made it worthwhile buying.

Wow, I kept getting that too! I finally had to do a system restore and was wondering if it had to do with the new update from Zone Alarm.

Will definitely check this out. On another note - do we need Zone Alarm if we have the firewall that comes with Dell computers?

ZA firewall gives you protection both ways , in and out . WindowsXP firewall protects you just one way . Keeps the nasties from getting into your computer , but lets anything out . In that respect ZA is a better firewall . I have always used the clean/uninstall switch and unistalled the old version first . Then install the new . I would try once more to clean install ZA . And if that doesn't work for you , use the WinXP firewall .
