"Win2k: Saving Profile Information"

Hello friends.

When I prepare to shut down my computer or change users, I get
a message telling me that Win2k is saving my settings. For some
reason, this process has gotten to taking a really long time. It
used to complete in a flash, but now sometimes takes as long as
one minute.

Is there something that I can do in order to decrease the amount
of time needed for this process?

Thanks very much for your help.

-Michael
