A word of advice for those of us who like to store our e-mails in non-standard (ie safe) locations and/or multiple identities with the store in customized locations: Use the profile manager first and do not use any of the wizards.
I have 2 e-mail profiles and I store all of my e-mail data (ie settings, saved e-mails, profile info, etc.) on a separate hard drive just in case I need to reinstall Windows- I'll not lose all of my saved e-mails.
If you run something similar and want to use Thunderbird:
1.) Install Thunderbird. Do not import anything and do not start Thunderbird once it is installed. If you have a previous install of the beta of Thunderbird and want to start with a clean-install AND change the location of your store directories, make sure you uninstall any Thunderbird beta first AND delete your profile, which can be found (after unhiding hidden files and folders) in c:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application data\Thunderbird. Delete the Thunderbird directory. Keep in mind, this will delete everything you have accumulated with a previous install of Thunderbird.
2.) go to Start/Applications/Mozilla Thunderbird/Profile Manager. Create your profile(s) and then start Thunderbird. Create an e-mail account, and point the local directory to a folder of your choosing. Do this for all of your e-mail accounts. Then go to "Local Folders" and specify that location as well. If you create a newsgroup, do the same thing and specify a local directory and newsrc file. Do the same thing to any other e-mail profile you create.
3.) Now you can import your Address Book and saved e-mails from Outlook/Outlokk Express, etc. and if you want, server settings and any other e-mail accounts from the tools/import menu.
I spent all morning trying to change the store directories that Thunderbird set up using the initial wizards to no avail. THe way I described takes longer, but you end up with total control over where everything in Thunderbird is stored. Hope this helps.

I see why...you have double IMG tags.
You have...
<img><img
src="http://www.slo-comp.net/upload/JLP/news/pics/FirefoxS.png"
alt="" /></img><img>
Should be...
<img
src="http://www.slo-comp.net/upload/JLP/news/pics/FirefoxS.png"
alt=""</img>

>His sig show's up fine on my browser Darren
It is messed up in my Opera rendering {see screenshot}. This
is off-topic but maybe it is due to Darren and me having
trouble downloading from the domains that these images are
linked to? Or it may be the browser we're using. {Edit: It
is messed up for me in IE as well, even on a different PC.
Edit#2: I got the Sig to show up OK in Netscape and FireFox ..
maybe a da*n conspiracy? Against Opera and IE?} .. Hehehe ...
Who knows. I even disabled all privacy filtering in ZA Pro
to make sure that wasn't interfering. OH Well .. back
on-topic, let's discuss Thunberbird guys, .. hehe ;)
In IE all your images look like Darren's screenshot here.
In Moz 1.8a5, my daily ride browser wise, they look fine.
You don't need the html tags to use images here, just use the
url.

LOL, you're right- when I view the page using IE, I do see the
image placeholder boxes. Didn't know it was doing that- I use
FireFox. Looks fine with the Fox. Gotta stop using the img
tags then.
