Hey Garbru, I use Earthlink for all my storage. I have 4MB available to me and have only used less than 2%. Been using them for about 5 years now. Check the properties on my Avatar and Sig, they are stored on Earthlink.

great. One more reason why Im likeing Earthlink Now.
Im still on a trail service. They had a 2 free month deal going on....and I grabbed it and Ive been very satisfied and havnt even used up one month yet. Im on the dial up service and the speeds have been very good. I connect at 50.6 kbps most of the time. They give me plenty of email space, good speeds and now Im hooked on their web space for posting. I never get disconnected and I always connect very easily. Good deal all around. Useing free web spaces for posting has been a hastle for me. Free services on the internet seem to be always declining in quality and number.

Earthlink has alway been a good service for me and the only complaint I have is tech service takes a long time to get someone (hold times) but once you do, they seem to be very capable and courteous. When I got cable I had to go with Road Runner but Earthlink cable just came to my area 2 months ago and I switched over to all Earthlink. I have cable and dialup if I need it (like out of town). For a while I had Earthlink dialup basic plan @ $9.95 and Road Runner cable @ $44.95. Now both are combined for $41.95. Great deal, saves me $12.95 a month.

I used to have DSL through Bell SOuth and it was an awesome service and the speeds were just great. But it was spendy. Back then I didnt mind paying the 45 a month because I was useing it all the time and downloading lots of BIG files. Now I dont download many big files. I pretty much check email, visit this forum, get my news and just do regular surfing for the most part. If your not downloading lots of big files then a Cable or DSL connection is not needed in my opinion. When I went back to dial up...what I did was just get a really good dial up modem. I got a US robotics external v92; it surfs the web pretty much just as fast as the DSL did. The only difference is the big downloads....updateing things and an occaionally downloading a small prog are my only downloads of size these days and being they are only occaional I dont mind being back on dial up at all, save some bucks and a bit safer too.
