"PC Game Recommendation"

I've got a $10 gift card for EB Games.com. I've picked out some games that are all $9.99, which one would you recommend and why? I've already got a few FPS games like MayPayne2 and Serious Same 2 etc... but i'm always willing to try something different. Variety is the spice of life they say. Anyone ever play Camelot or XIII?

Well I have Soldier of Fortune II and thought it was really good. Never played the first one though. I've played the demo for XIII and thought it was pretty neat, a FPS that looks like you're in a comic book.

For the heck of it I just downloaded the demos for XIII again and SOF. While the graphics and gameplay are not as good in SOF as in SOF2, I think I like it better than XIII.

XIII is a lousy game. I got halfway through and gave up. Has to have the dumbest AI ever.

SOF is good by yesterdays standards. Looks very outdated today.

Still for $ 9.99 you can add a few bucks more and get a better game.

Guns don't kill people. Husbands who come home early kill people.

Speaking of lousy games, i thought that the Maxtrix (PC version) was probably the worst game I've ever played. After you've finished each section/ scenario, it would give you the option to save the game and load the next chapter of the game. Hence it gave a really 'stop & go' feel to the game and I never managed to get into a groove. Thank goodness that the game was free after rebates, I would have totally felt robbed of my $40!

I played the multiplayer demo of SoF and thought it was good. Of course, there was no storyline or anything in the demo, but the graphics and weapons/features were well made. If you really like FPS games, then that would probably be your best bet. However, if you are getting tired of FPS games, then one of the other three.

I made the mistake of buying Age of Camelot when it first came out only to find out that it was a pay to play game (MMORPG), so that's definately something to consider. I heard it's good, but World of Warcraft is coming..

Haven't played the other ones. XIII looks nice, but I prefer real grahpics. Maybe the storyline is good. Echelon wasn't spoken of highly.

WoW is nice, stress test beta'd it... that was a great time.
Just got into EQ2's closed beta. I haven't really gotten to play it yet, just did the tutorial and the very beginning after it. All I can say is that the graphics and sounds of WoW can not come close to what EQ2 currently has. Also that EQ2 just moved its releast date to a week prior to WoW... Think WoW is gonna get shafted. On graphics alone I'd pick EQ2. Will provide more later.

I will leave you with this thought though. Extreme graphics selected, First geographical area outside of tutorial, on the beach, looking at the water hitting the shore... I could see the froth foaming up as the water is splashing...

EverQuest 2 (EverQuest is typically named EverCrack). WoW and EQ2 are both MMORPGs requiring P2P (Pay to Play) services.

Sorry for going off topic from your inital question. Out of thoses games I'd rebuy SoFII, but if you want it that bad I'd sell you my copies of SoFI and II for $10 easy as I don't play it any more.

I have played Soldier of Fortune 2 and have to say that it is one sweet episode. It us pretty long and has quite a variety of environments and missions. Definitely a worthwhile game.

It also can be played online....but I have never tried that

A game I am playing now,, I know is not in your choice list but just to mention it is Thief Deadly Shadows and it is COOL! Very addicting and very much different than just about every other Game I have played. Awesome. I wish somebody had told me about thief before. Its been out for a while but I am just getting to it now.
