"ad blocking"

does anybody know of a decent program that I can download that blocks ads from web pages. I used to run Norton Firewall and they had that option and It worked pretty good. When I surfed around I would notice that most of the banner ads and such would not be allowed to download....made my surfing a bit faster too. NOw I have Zone Alarm for a firewall but no ad blocker. Anybody know of a good utility to do this....would be great if it could stop those macromedia anamated ads too. Those things are annoying. way to much advertiseing.
thanx

I use AdSubtract Pro, but there is a free version that works pretty well. www.AdSubtract.com

It also works very well with Zone Alarm. New version just released (2.45).

Great. AdSubtract is working very well. I just downloaded it and went to a few sites that I go to regulary that are loaded with ads and they are all gone now. Even 2 macromedia animated and highly annoying displays were gone. thats perfect. Im useing the free version and seems to be doing what I need it for, I will use it for a while and read up about the pro version and see if that is worth the upgrade for me later. It seems to be pretty customizable...but Ive noticed already that a few options are limited in the free version. Anyway its a good thing. Thanks for the info. Banner ads give me a headache.
