I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU to the Barton 2500.I have an Athlon 1.3 now.Is this a good choice of an upgrade at this point in time or should I be looking at other CPU's?I'll be putting it on an Asus A7N8X with Win98SE.Any suggestions welcomed and appreciated.
What is the fastest CPU that your motherboard/BIOS supports?

The A7N8X Deluxe Rev 2.0 will support the Athlon XP 3200+ with PC3200 or faster memory.
Am I the only one that cringes at the prospect of an Nforce2 board, a Barton 2500 and Windows 98?I would upgrade to XP at the same time.
>Am I the only one that cringes at the prospect of an Nforce2>board, a Barton 2500 and Windows 98?>>I would upgrade to XP at the same time.No doubt you're correct about changing my OS.I've been told this before.Maybe next Christmas.I have always tried to keep up with OS changesbut I didn't make it this time around. Thanks for the reply.
