"Barton 2500"

I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU to the Barton 2500.

I have an Athlon 1.3 now.

Is this a good choice of an upgrade at this point in time or should I be looking at other CPU's?

I'll be putting it on an Asus A7N8X with Win98SE.

Any suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

What is the fastest CPU that your motherboard/BIOS supports?

Shelly

Am I the only one that cringes at the prospect of an Nforce2 board, a Barton 2500 and Windows 98?

I would upgrade to XP at the same time.

No doubt you're correct about changing my OS.
I've been told this before.
Maybe next Christmas.

I have always tried to keep up with OS changes
but I didn't make it this time around.

Thanks for the reply.
