"Buffalo Tech Memory"

Does anyone know if the following memory is adequate for the Asus A7N8X
MB?

Buffalo Technology 512MB 6 Layer PC3200 DDR Memory Module CL 2.5 32X8 (Winbond Module),

Any suggestions welcomed.

DDR is expensive. It may go down in price like the rest of the memory did.

Thanks.

Crucial (see commissioned link above) has quality memory at excellent prices and free shipping.

Click on the Crucial link at the top of this page, and find out what top quality DDR guaranteed to work in your system really costs.

FYI, Crucial guarantees that their memory will work in your system only for return purposes. They don't actually guarantee that it will work (see MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR).

Having said that, Buffalo (TATANKA!) uses Winbond modules. I don't like Winbond modules, so I don't use them.

I've had problems with Crucial in the past. I ordered a big chunk of memory and it didn't work.

I called them and they said I had it installed incorrectly. I told them repeatedly I followed their instructions but to no avail. They had my money.

Maybe they've changed their policy.

Thanks for the reply.

You must have really ticked someone off. I have never heard of anyone having a problem getting a replacement or a refund from Crucial. I had a module fail after a year and they replaced it overnight without question. They have to be the easiest company in the world to deal with.

Agree with Shelly, I've had great service from Crucial, and wouldn't consider any other source.

They are a lot easier to deal with than most other retail outlet. I ended up sending back 2 or 3 sticks that wouldn't work with the MSI board, and each time they promptly refunded my cash every time.
