"Partition HD"
Thu Jul-31-03 10:32 PM by aa1aq

I have an 80 gig HD to partition. OS is Win98SE.
I don't need this much drive but this one was the best deal.
It does make for large clusters.

I may ghost the C drive.

How would you partition it?

Hello,

Partitioning is very much a personal preference and intended use issue.

Have a look at http://partition.radified.com/ for some ideas.

one thing yhat is handy when you have a lot of extra space is to create a partition, Ghost your whole C: drive to it and then hide it with PM.
That way you can always have an instant backup of the whole drive and by hiding it nothing can accidentally get written to it, you won't even see it except with PM.

old dude,

Thanks for the tip on PM. I don't have PM in my arsenal of software.
I've always used fdisk. I think it's about time I change. I'm hearing some real great things about that program. Old habits are hard to change.

Thanks for the tip.

Ray
