""Folderguard" ?"

Has anyone here ever used a program called folderguard? Or another program that will block access to a folder?

What OS? It can make a difference.

I seem to recall having tried FG a long time ago. At the time I believe it was a free version (FolderGuard Lite -it's still available). After installing & realising that it could only work with a single folder, I unistalled it & that was that.

Otherwise they have two versions. Pro $70, & Standard $40. Standard does not work with XP/2K/NT.

Others that I have not tried.

Hide Files $30 (depending on what day it is)
<http://www.spydex.com/hidefiles.html>

Folder Shield $20
<http://www.baxbex.com/foldershield.html>

Advanced Hide Folders - free, i believe
<http://www.softbe.com/>

HDHide - free - 34kb
<http://ftp.univie.ac.at/mirror/WinSite/win95/dskutil/HDHide.exe>
Hide Drives Hide (HDHide) can be use to hide or unhide drive letters A: - Z: on any computer using Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 operating systems - whether they are actual physical drives on a local machine or logical drives (partitions, server volumes, mapped drives, etc.). Any of these drives can be hidden or unhidden. The hidden drive letters will not be visible in Explorer or any other application that use the common Windows 'Save', 'Save As', or 'Open' dialog boxes. (I suppose this does NOT mean DOS?)
