"Good news for all members!!" Thu Oct-10-02 06:33 AM by jasonlevine
We can now let everyone know that the forum will have a new home, and be hosted by our new webmaster, Jason Levine. Jason demonstrated his ability to manage a forum as webmaster of the old WinMag forum from which many of us came to PC911.
Alex (Crazygerman) has graciously assisted in passing on the torch of this great forum to Jason and will help assure our successful move to our new home. We look forward to a long and close relationship with Alex, and the remaining part of his website.
The new forum is registered as www.PCQandA.com We are contracting with a major web hosting service to provide a dedicated server, and 80GB of bandwidth per month, that is more than we currently use.
The new site will, in addition to the computer forum, have a Lounge area where members can relax and discuss off topic subjects. (BYOB. We will also have a forum for our hard working UD group.
We are working hard to have the new site up and running by October 1st since the PC911 forum will go dark on September 30th.
Launching a new forum of this size does not come cheap. We need those of you who can, to contribute to the cause, as many of you have offered to do. No amount is too small. You can contribute through PayPal by going to:
Great News Shelly. All will help out I'm sure. I will place the Collage on 911 Tuesday till the end of the month then I will try to transfer it to the new site that that all can know each other on site or is it sight or cybersite, or whatever. Thanks to you, Jason and Alex.
Thats great news. As many has said before they feel at home here at pc911. I am one of those who feel the same way. Although I do not post too often, I come here every day and post when I know the answer to something which has not yet been answered. I hope I'll be seeing everyone there when its up and running, especially Alex. Cheers Beninio

I'll first take the opportunity to say Yay! to the preservation of the PC911 community. It is good news indeed.
Now, Russ, I have found quite a bit to like over at Bitbendertech as well and wild horses with boiling snot dripping out of flared nostrils couldn't drag me away. I intend on continuing to participate there as well as the new forum. As for which I'm going to call home, I don't see a need to make such a distinction anymore. I'll not be tied to one forum exclusively, so I'll accept that I have two homes now.
I don't do UD, but regardless of which team anyone picks it's no reason to say goodbye to either or any community you've participated in while the shit was hitting the fan.
>Well that is good news indeed for all. Or maybe I will say >MOST!! >I think that I have found something that I like better over >at BBF, and will take this opportunity to say goodbye to you >Shelly, Alex and PC Nineoneone.
I really dig bitbender, as well, and will remain a member there. But I'll be happy to help contribute to the new forum, just as soon as I get a paycheck (this semi-monthly stuff is for the birds!).

Yes, the half-nekkid women thread was interesting to say the least.

I will be talking to Jason later tonight and post a mail address you can use.
I neglected to mention that we will be using the latest version of the same forum script we are accustomed to here. It has all the features you love, and a more robust search feature.
