Yesterday (Boxing Day) morning, as Australia recovered from Christmas Day, Kevin Rudd was out early, serving breakfasts at a homeless shelter in Canberra.

This was not publicised at all, and only came to light because one of the regular volunteers there sent a letter to the editor of the local paper telling about it.

And remember, this was not only Boxing Day, but also only 3 days after he had moved into his official residence in Canberra.
