Ok, I have replaced a few HD/s in my time. But this is my work Laptop and I really cant screw it up. It is a new Dell Ins. 5567 with 250 SSD. I got a 500 SSD and am just going to replace smaller one. I have Win 10 on 16g sd that I know is good as I have already put it on another pc with out a hitch. There is very little I need off of here in terms of files. I sell Mobile homes and I have everything in the cloud and zip files saved. Mostly all else can be lost. I will put my pics on a thumb drive, but thats it. So.... Just swap and install???
Don't really see how that would matter one way or the other. And I would think ? that there would be a shortcut key to bring up a boot (order) menu in any case?

When I go to my BIOS and restore everything it gives my first selection as USB and the options to move it up and down Argon the only options I have bios Flash update BIOS setup Diagnostics change boot mode settings but I no longer have the options to go up and down and choose my hard drive and switch it to first place help me help me
When you made your bootable USB device...Did you format it Fat32? Since you say it's a new laptop it more than likely has UEFI Bios. You have to format it Fat32 or it won't be seen in the Bios.
