Anyone ever seen this one? Start a game of Minesweeper (the free Windows game.)

Press the following keys: x y z z y then press Enter then press Right Shift

Now watch the extreme top left hand pixel on your monitor, when it's white you're over a safe square, when it's not you're over a mine.

Sort of takes the fun out of it though - but good for impressing people who don't know the trick. :)

Doesn't seem to work for me. Either that or I can't see the extreme upper left pixil. Tried in Win98SE and XP home.

It's needed to press the Shift and Enter key at the same time.

I didn't have to hit them at the same time. Bobbo, is your top left pixel white perhaps? Or maybe you have your screen expanded alittle beyond the edges.

It didn't work for me either in the "Beginner" setting but does in the "Intermediate".

Yep! It does work. I just had my screen a little too big.

I have tried and tried to get this. My son thinks he is a stud muffin because he has made a profession of this game. I can not seem to get it straight.

Is the pixel on your screen itself or on the window? Either way I can not find it.

Is there any program which conflicts with this? I turned off ZA and antivirus, to no avail. I am serious about getting this cheat as it could be the boys spiritual awakening if I beat him or could win the game.

Hi Bob, it's the top left hand pixel of your monitor - maybe yours is adjusted so it's off the edge of the screen? Also, you need to have a dark desktop wallpaper to see it properly. :)

Here's another cheat. Open winmine.ini (should be in your Windows directory) in a text editor. Changing TimeX and NameX will change the score and person who got that score. ;-) Why yes I did solve the Expert level in 5 seconds. :+
