208442, looking for Tablet with data connection to cell towers

I'm looking for a tablet that can connect with internet like a cell phone does, rather than be limited to a wifi connection. I don't know where to begin looking. Thanks!

I don't have a tablet but don't most of them have the ability to connect to cell networks built in? I thought it was just a matter of getting service for one just like you do with a smart phone.

I'm guessing not. Otherwise they would. My wife connects her NOOK this way. And I know several that use their laptop via their cell phone with a hotspot.

Thanks...got it. This led to this,

which has several good links built into it.

I did a simple Google search using 'tablet with cellular connectivity' with the following results.

Link.

Dave

Edit: For some reason the link will not work in the forum. It is an 'https' URL, which the script does not seem to recognize. If I edit it as an 'http' URL, only the http portion of the link seems to be read. What gives?

Edit #2: It appears that deleting the 'https:\' prefix on the URL corrected the problem.

Yes, Thanks to all...I checked with a couple of my relatives at a family gathering. These two are really into cutting edge telecom, and need and use it in their jobs. You are all 'spot-on'.

Check with your phone service provider. For example, Verizon offers some Samsung tablets with that capability.
