If you feel you need some time off to pursue your own activities, more power to you, but I can't imagine you'd be too busy to pop in once in a while and interact. If you don't, you'll be missed by many, including me. I don't think there is anyone here who does not respect your computer knowledge and your willingness to share it.
Once I was around here long enough, I realized that your sometimes gruff manner was fueled by a passion for your subject manner, combined with your custom of just plain speaking your mind.
I gotta tell ya though, dude, that I occasionally cringed when I saw some of your posts to people who may not have had the chance to arrive at that same conclusion, and may have read them as being personal attacks.
I don't hesitate to mention this, as well as my "toothbrush" comment in an earlier post, because you've always supported the right of everybody in the forum to speak their opinion, and we all know you're a big fan of not mincing words. ;-)
I've always read your posts, and have grown to like and respect you in spite of the fact that I may not always agree with your delivery. If you indeed decide to pursue other activities, don't be a stranger. You might find you enjoy dropping in even more, if it's no longer an obligation.
Since you said you don't plan to read this post, I'll send a copy of this by e-mail, which you're no doubt getting a lot of lately.
