My Thunderbird settings for outgoing server are shown below. Have you used these settings? If you are still getting the server is unknown message then sync-cloud.optimum.net can't be correct. Have you tried mail.optimum.net? You should also verify the Connection Security setting and the Authentications method setting. https://imgbb.com/>
