565664, My Surface Pro is shutting down too fast
Posted by John M., Thu Sep-27-18 10:58 AM
I have the power setting set to turn off the screen in 20 minutes, but it is shutting it off every time I walk away for even five minutes.

Does anybody know how to fix this??

Apparently not even Microsoft knows how to fix it successfully - but a fix may be on the way soon.

A quick Google search shows that a lot of Surface owners are having this problem, or similar problems. A variety of fixes have been suggested with varying results, though none appeared to work for everyone.

You can read "solutions" to try from one of the discussions here:

(If the link doesn't work when clicked, right click and select Open in a New tab or New window.)

Unrelated John,

But how do you like your Surface Pro? Been wanting one for mobility and a strong machine too.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't respond, I just realized you had posted a question to me.

I absolutely LOVE the Surface Pro (I have the I5 processor). It is fast & powerful & does everything I need it to.

After using mine, both my Wife & my Son also bought newer Surface Pro's & they are very happy with theirs also.

I'll be glad to answer any specific questions you have.
