565170, Not Charging Indicated

This is the same toshiba A305-S6872 Satellite laptop for upgrading. I've tried the uninstall the MS battery drivers with no change in the status.
Before I spend $20 for a new battery, does anyone have a pin out for the connector battery? I have a LiPo battery charger for my RC Heli's that I can use to charge this defective battery. All I need is what pins to connect my charger to. At present, I've checked all pins against all other pins with a voltmeter but they all read 0 volts. If the battery is really dead, LiPo's can be brought back but usually once they are below the storage voltage they do not regain their load capacity.
I'd like to verify the battery is really the reason for the no charge status.

Thanks,

Sigh! You're trying to resurrect another Vista computer?

All Vista computers are OLD! Old technology, old hard drives, old batteries and old capacitors. Since you provided a model number I was able to find the specs... Core 2 Duo processor at 2GHz, max of 4GB RAM, a video chip that's probably not supported in Windows 10(I admit that I haven't researched that yet) meaning it will probably just have basic video functionality. And you don't know if it will run on battery.

I haven't looked for a pinout on the battery, If you can find a schematic for the computer it will probably give you the pinout, or try to find specs for the battery part number.

In you thread about cheap Windows 10 licenses I mentioned you doing this as a business. I get that you're trying to be a hero and save people lots of money, but you need to get tough and tell these people who still have old computers running XP and Vista that they need to break down and buy a new or newer computer that comes with Windows 10. If you convince someone to sink a good bit of money into one of these old relics to replace the battery and maybe the hard drive, upgrade the RAM and buy a license for Windows 10 and then after 2 weeks the motherboard gives out, it's your reputation on the line. After doing all kinds of upgrades and promising great things, if any little thing goes wrong, the owner will come to you to fix it and they won't be happy!

Thank you for the reply. Thinking about what you posted, I will take your advice and tell the owner the upgrade is not a good path to take.

This is not a 'business', I just happen to know slightly more than most folks in this area and have become their go to guy.

Considering all the possibilities of what could go wrong after the upgrade, a new Win 10 laptop would be the best alternative.

Thanks again,

Dan all of those computers would probably run Lubuntu nicely with LXDE. It is a Windows like interface where your customers could safely have Internet access with a modern browser, Email and office programs. It is free and will tell you more about the charging system than windows will. It might even start working if it is not a defective charging receptacle. They are easy to replace. My Daughter didn't like it when I did that to her Vista laptop but she is using it until she can afford a Surface Pro.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have returned the Vista PC after installing Firefox. Since IE and Google will not update, Firefox was an easy solution.
The owner asked me to purchase a new battery with the knowledge that the charging circuit in the PC may be at fault. He said the $20 for the battery was worth it if it does work.

I will mention your suggestion but he is not that into changing to a new OS.

Thanks again,
