There is a nice little registry entry that started out in Windows Vista that works in all operating systems since that may help, called Take Ownership. It works from a drop down context menu with a right click on the file. It might also identify the file as corrupted so you can get rid of it. It is a free download and comes with two entries to double click on. One to install the entry and another to remove it. Another method would be to use a linux live CD or USB to find and remove the file. Puppy Linux usually has all the tools you might need. The easiest way would be to have the file on a fat32 drive where Linux would see it if you can move it. There is always a way to do it but it might take some looking around and I'm sure there will be other methods suggested.
