Hiya kiddies,

I have a Surface RT tablet, one of the first ones with the ARM processor (32-bit OS). I just use it for web browsing--light use.

Long story short, after years of use and upgrades it was bloated so I wiped/refreshed it back to scratch. The process went smoothly, but as you might expect Windows Update had some 60+ updates.

After that first round of updates was done though, when I recheck, Windows Update will no longer complete the "Checking for updates..." process. It just keeps checking forever.



I've tried the Microsoft Support Windows Update diagnostic tool, and it says it finds a problem and fixes it, but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions?
