564480, address labels in rollover printer
Posted by lenjack, Sun Sep-03-17 10:31 PM
I want to print some stick on return address labels, the kind that comes 80 to a sheet, in a laser printer that feeds from the front and outputs the finished product out the top. Since it is not a straight through feed, I'm concerned that the labels may detach and become stuck to the innards of the printer. Is this a cause for concern? If it matters, it's a Samsung MX2830. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find any info for a Samsung MX2830, are you sure it's not a M2830dw? The only manual I could find for a M2830dw was in Spanish which didn't do me any good.

I did find a manual for a M2835DW in English, it indicates that you should use labels that are made for use in a laser printer to survive the heat of the fuser. It also indicates that labels should be fed through the manual feeder, not the paper tray.

Downloadable PDF English language version for M283x Series printers which includes the M2830 and the M2835 (and other Series also)

Type in the Captcha code, then click download to save on computer.

The correct heat resistant adhesive label admonition is on page 33.

You are, of course, correct. There was an extraneous X on the loose. I stand corrected. For the first time in my life, I'm wrong again.

Thanks

I'm not going to bother with obtaining laser labels. I also have an inkjet printer and inkjet labels, and will take that route, but thanks anyway.
