564180, Size of newspaper text
Posted by Ed, Sun Apr-30-17 09:43 AM
Is there a way I can make all newspaper text the same size when presented on line?
If I make the text large enough on one newspaper, the next may be so large you can't read it because the lines overlap or on some newspapers the text is so small you need a magnifier to read it. I use Chrome and can enlarge the text but to do that and try and make a standard size seems impossible. Getting harder and harder to read text. I am just starting to ignore articles that are just painfully small to read. I tried using some of the vision impaired tricks but I would like to be able to set an easily readable size that remains constant from newspaper to newspaper. Didn't the old windows have an option to ignore newspaper text and only use user selected size?

I don't use Chrome so can't provide step-by-step instructions but it seems likely that there would be settings for Accessibility and Font style that could be set in lieu of the settings specified by webpages.

So, that's where I would look first.

thank you very much for that page. It provided me with several options to try and
improve web readability. Tons of extensions I didn't know about.
