I didn't think it was mandatory to install the toolbar, but here's the thing. I need to be able to trust them when I'm NOT around.

I haven't even seen that advertisement for Uniblue shitware on the Avira update notifier splash screen, but that doesn't mean it won't come up in rotation and someone won't click it.

Let's say I install Avira without this ask toolbar/web guard. What happens if it comes up in an ad, or a default during a program upgrade?

I allowed them to expose my people to the ads for their paid for product in that updated notifier splash screen, because buying Avira was a good thing that I would encourage. They only advertised their own product in that space. They crossed the line with Uniblue, and I can no longer trust them not to expose my people to unwanted software.

It's not that I'm turned off on Avira, it's that I cannot tolerate that, professionally.
