That's exactly the problem i was having w/ the first utility I mentioned. Now I know what that alpha channel is for... thanks for the info. I'm running W2K BTW so it looks perfectly fine now, thanks.

I tried 3 others before this one and they all lacked the ability to extract that alpha channel info. This one does it nicely.
